  • I have every one of the clutter game. This one is just as great as the other ones. There are so many options to this game. I just love them all.I really enjoy playing it and get so involved that when my trial is up I wonder what happen. Then I go purchase it to quickly get back to the clutter. I also like reading the writing. I recommend this game!

  • I was reading the reviews for another game and someone mentioned this game. Looked it up, read the reviews and decided to give it a try. OMG...this game is so fun and I have not played any of my other games cuz I am hooked on this one. There are varying levels of difficulty and you can customize the options for the games so you can mix it up. Still haven't gotten bored! Want more like this one. I recommend this game!

  • I really like this version. I like the option of keep playing after the time is up. You don't have to go crazy finding everything before the time is up. I love the new puzzle with 70 or so squares that have to be matched. I'll probably go blind playing this but I am hooked! I recommend this game!

The original un-hidden object game

I wrote Clutter to make a replayable game that appeals to the Hidden Object Game fans, without it being a typical Hidden Object Game. Iíve done my best to make every level replayable, and I'll warn you now ñ many people find the game quite addicting.

There are now 7 Clutter Games and no two are alike. And for just reading this far, I'll give you your very first Clutter experience for free. Just email me at [email protected] and I'll send you your first Clutter game for free. Just put "Clutter Please" in the Subject Line, and I'll send you a download link to the very first Clutter game. I'll warn you again though - many people play these games every single day, and addicting is the most common word I hear from my players about the game. You've been warned.

I got the “final upgrade” this afternoon. I’ve been doing some checking and I do like the wide-screen (full screen) mode. HOGs are the one type of game that I play full screen rather than windowed and it looks great. In fact, these games are so different from conventional HOGs that they now have their own category in my game structure – “Clutter”.

The only visual problem I see is a white streak near the top of the screen but that’s not your fault — that’s the monitor slowly going out. I’ve been watching that white streak since Clutter V! Since it appears on any other full screen app, I have to say it’s not your games. 🙂

With the uninstall first, there did not appear to be any issues. I did a simple uninstall and did not use Revo Pro to look for anything else. I can’t FIND where you’re hiding the user stats but they were not touched by the simple uninstall.

I do have a recommendation to users — is you change users, cycle the game! The hints and totals are removed but you don’t see it with the other users until you cycle the game. They appear to “inherit” the hints and stats of the previous user but don’t really. It’s corrected after a restart.

I never expect any game or any other product to be “perfect”. I am a firm believer in Chandler’s Law which states “The only completely debugged program is the one no longer in user.” Credited to J. P. Chandler, Professor of Computer Science at Oklahoma State University, late 1970s. He stated that beyond the most trivial simple line program, it is impossible to test every single path in the program. That was true for Functional Decomposition and is still true for Object Oriented Design/Programming!

Hello, Joe! I am one of your biggest fans ’cause I have all your Clutter games! Clutter 1000. I am having issues. I deleted the first copy and installed the last (and final) update. Now I get a black screen and red cursor, and that’s all. I hit “escape” a couple times and got the main menu page to appear, but it leads back to a black screen. What am I doing wrong?

Playing the latest update of Clutter 1000, I noticed a couple of things. One thing (and thank you for it) is that the Mahjong levels now have a selection to show only playable tiles and an “undo” feature. That makes those levels less stressful and somewhat easier.

The other thing I noticed is something I don’t know was intentional or not. When you do a reset of the player levels, the total and the hint count for mode 1 are NOT cleared, just the green dots. This can result in very large totals since those extra points when you complete a level are not removed after the first time for a level as they were before. Instead of something like 55,000 points for a level, you might get 700 in the earlier version of the game for the 2nd time playing a given level. The hint count just continues to grow but with the infinite hint option, that’s not really a big deal.

Since the total points were cleared for the other modes (except for the one without points), I wonder if this was an oversight or was it intentional.

Any way you look at it, the game is incredibly fun! It’s the best yet!

Thanks for all that feedback. Will definitely look into it.
(It definitely should have reset hints…but I blew that one.)
      Thanks again. Joe
