First, I just got my 3rd Tip/Donation yesterday. Truly awesome (I obviously missed the 2nd Tip or I’m sure I would have blogged about that too). Also, I wanted to thank everyone who played the 1st Hour Playable Beta and provided feedback. Feedback is always appreciated and there were no big surprises there so I believe I’m on track for wrapping up Clutter III over the next 3-4 weeks. But, even if I was done today…it would take a month or even 2 for Big Fish to get it on it’s site.
So, I have a question. Should I even think about selling Clutter III – directly from Puzzles By Joe before it’s even on Big Fish? Would enough people buy it directly here to make it worthwhile for me to do that?
I’m finalizing all the Clutter levels this week and then the following week I will be finalizing all the Story/Picture elements. After that, it will be final tweaks to some of the minigames, a lot of play testing and then I’m hoping to be done.
Last question…Does anyone want to see teaser screen shots for the game? There is a lot of stuff that I didn’t want to show in the Beta that I’m very happy with.
To those of you who’ve told me how much you really enjoyed the Eggs in Clutter II (along with the other Stockpile Challenges) – you just wait. You ain’t seen nothing yet.
On my questions from above, let me know what you think by adding a comment.
Thanks in advance…Joe

I am eternally grateful that I don’t have to reply 3 times to exit “yeah, I really, really, really want to exit” for that alone I’m leaving a tip. For C3, I love sudoktris. Thanks Joe !!

I have Clutter 3 and loveeeeeeeeee it. WOW !!!!! This is the best one of all 3.
Thanks Joe….. also glad I was able to order the cd. It arrived right away. Good service and again thanks for a GREAT game.
I see nobody commenting on your question as to what you might/should charge for the game. I think that depends on whether or not it would come with a backup cd. Games at most sights are a little cheaper without a backup cd, but marginally more costly with a backup cd. Most really good/great games that are purchased with a cd online or in the store generally run 19.99 or so. I don’t want to offend you or all your work…but that seems like the current going rate and it would be a good price to charge…at least as far as I’m concerned it’s a good price. But hurry….I can’t wait for it. Oh dear Santa Joe…release it soon!
I am eagerly awaiting Clutter III….it is one game I would actually pay the full (actually the BFG price without being a “club member” or getting on sale) of 19.99 or so and buy it on your site, as I assume a much larger amount would go to you, and you surely deserve it. Clutter II has had more replay value than any other game I’ve played, and I wish there were more like it.
I am anxiously awaiting CLUTTER 3 like all the other Clutter heads. I will always think of you as “genius” for coming up with such a novel game. I would purchase from you just as soon as you made the game available to the public and I think all Clutter fans would. Sooner is always better then later. In the meantime, I still have my fabulous 1 and 2 to play. I haven’t played a single game that I own since first purchasing my first Clutter game and I own many hidden object games from BigFish and other games from Game House. I don’t care for any of them. They pale by comparison to your Clutter games.
Thanks Lynn: Clutter III is almost done…and I’ll try to have a version for sale from my site before Christmas.
I have never spent as much time on ANY game like I have Clutter II. Please consider developing an email list to let us know when you have it up. I’d prefer paying you the premium price as an incentive to keep up the production as opposed to BFG!!!
I have and love both Clutter and Clutter 2. How does one get to test your games? Can’t wait for Clutter 3-I check at least once a week to see if it is out yet- I agree w/ person who liked the back up as I live in fear that something will happen and I won’t be able to play them (I have a friend who has purchased Clutter from Big Fish at least twice but he can’t play it -he gets the sound but no picture- and Big Fish won’t let him delete it from his inventory so he comes over here to play)
Anyway they are great games – my favorites by far!!
