About Joe

Joe is not Leon

Anyone who's played the original Clutter game knows a little bit about Joe. Joe is not Leon, but some of the details of Joe's life were worked into the story. Here are just some of the real facts of Joe's almost 60 years of life.

Joe was born in a little town called Penacook N.H., a voting district of Concord N.H. but a separate town (population was about 3000 back then). Joe attended Immaculate Conception School until 6th grade and then attended Merrimack Valley High School. Joe decided to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Joe only took one computer course at RPI.

Joe moved on to work at iWin creating the highly successful Mah Jong Quest I, II and III (and little game called Sproink). After leaving iWin at the end of 2009 to work on his own games he joined an Atlanta Slots/Gaming company beginning in 2011 and ending in 2013. Joe now devotes 100% of his time to Puzzles By Joe and The Clutter Series.

Joe, my husband and I LOVE the Clutter games and have played all of them several times. I especially enjoy the challenges of matching butterflies and matching eggs. Are you going to expound on this concept in future games? How about beetles? Or beads? Or fish? Or flowers? I love all the Clutter challenges, but now and then it’s nice to do one of these un-timed matching challenges. By the way, I’ve bought all the Clutter games on BigFish and they’re such a relief from their overwhelming catalog of dark, serious, depressing games about missing children and town terrors. Your games are beautiful, interesting, engaging, and spirit-lifting. Don’t ever stop making them! Thank you so much, Joe!

I feel like I’ve been playing for years but never get tired of playing and I’ve just recently noticed a few new “tiles? ” and it made me so happy! lol thanks How will we know when new games are available? I’m not real good with computers and high tech stuff so if something is weird that’s why

Joe – Do you ever intend to issue a software upgrade for Clutter Infinity? Because I have done 893 of the 895 of the puzzles and every time that I try to play the 895th, my Mac freezes. I get a message from Winedbg that says Clutter has experienced a serious error and must shut down. I tried to get the details of the error but there were none.
This happens on Clutter Pictures 180-5 **54** and 200 with the same trailer. It will freeze after 2-15 matches.
Also on the 200 version, when I use the hint button, it decrements the number of hints but does not show a hint.
Thanks for making these addictive games, so much so that I feel like I MUST complete every puzzle! 🙂
