About Joe

Joe is not Leon

Anyone who's played the original Clutter game knows a little bit about Joe. Joe is not Leon, but some of the details of Joe's life were worked into the story. Here are just some of the real facts of Joe's 65-Plus years of life.

Joe was born in a little town called Penacook N.H., a voting district of Concord N.H. but a separate town (population was about 3000 back then). Joe attended Immaculate Conception School until 6th grade and then attended Merrimack Valley High School. Joe decided to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Joe graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Joe only took one computer course at RPI.

Joe moved on to work at iWin creating the highly successful Mah Jong Quest I, II and III (and little game called Sproink). After leaving iWin at the end of 2009 to work on his own games he joined an Atlanta Slots/Gaming company beginning in 2011 and ending in 2013. Joe now devotes 100% of his time to Puzzles By Joe and The Clutter Series.

Hi Joe – well you hit it out of the park with Clutter IX! I am really loving it. “Rack ‘Em” is a fantastic addition – BUT – it could really use an UNDO feature (Ctrl-Z). The easier levels are OK, but when you get to the higher levels it is too easy to make a mistake and have to start over from the beginning, which can be a little frustrating. I’m also loving the new object collections and puzzle types. Looking forward to more!

    Hi Joe,
This is a BIG thank you for Clutterville anything. The games are by far my favorite games and I have played them numerous times.

    Hi Joe
I am a massive Clutter fan and have bought loads of them. In particular I like sliders and have also bought the sliders game. I am quite hooked on these although I am now doing the same ones over and over.
Can you do more Sliders games please. It would be much appreciated. Thank you

Hi Joe – I recently purchased Clutter Infinity and absolutely love it. I’m on my second round of playing it and it’s even more fun than the first time – now that I know how everything works. I can’t say I’m equally enthusiastic about all the different game types – but who is? I do have one small criticism though – the mechanism of the square jigsaw puzzles. Click-and-drag is, well, a real drag! I use a trackball, and my thumb gets tired from having to hold the button down so much. A pick-and-place interface would be so much better i.e. click a piece, it “sticks” to the cursor as you drag around, then click again to drop it. Click-and-drag is not so bad with the slider puzzles – maybe because it’s more one-dimensional. Anyway, I’m addicted!

      Hi Rose:
      That’s a great suggestion.
I will figure out how to implement that for future Clutter games.
      Joe
