About Joe

Joe is not Leon!!!

Anyone who's played the original Clutter game knows a little bit about Joe. Joe is not Leon, but some of the details of Joe's life were worked into the story. Here are just some of the real facts of Joe's 65-Plus years of life.

Joe was born in a little town called Penacook N.H., a voting district of Concord N.H. but a separate town (population was about 3000 back then). Joe attended Immaculate Conception School until 6th grade and then attended Merrimack Valley High School. Joe decided to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Joe graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Joe only took one computer course at RPI.

Joe moved on to work at iWin creating the highly successful Mah Jong Quest I, II and III (and little game called Sproink). After leaving iWin at the end of 2009 to work on his own games he joined an Atlanta Slots/Gaming company beginning in 2011 and ending in 2013. Joe now devotes 100% of his time to Puzzles By Joe and The Clutter Series.

I started your games for Clutter IX in 2020, and I have been hooked ever since. I usually purchase your games through Big Fish. Will the 18 be sold on there, I tried searching for it, and I either missed it, or I missed information that you gave out previously? One thing that I would like for you to bring back, is the option to choose the music for the songs. You took that off, it looks like, because most people listen to their own music. I am one of the oddballs, and enjoy listening to the music choices in games. However, there are some that I would like to repeat, and some that I don’t want to listen to. I am hoping you can bring this back, in your next game, if it isn’t a choice already. I have been wanting to provide feedback, but Big Fish would only try to refund me, and didn’t know “how to get in touch with you.” Glad I found this page. Thanks for challenging me in a fun and mostly relaxing way.

Hi Joe, just finished the gauntlet on clutter 18. Enjoyed it. Its my relaxation to take my mind of this crazy, crazy world right now. love your games. Did not like petals or the little tiny colour box things like tetris this game. My favouite games are the clutter gaps by far, I also enjoy the accordian ones, and the drag ones. I also enjoy the slider puzzles and your stories! I believe I have purcahsed eery one of your games! I love the chocolate ones and the ordinary objects, not too many I don’t enjoy. Sometimes I get a bit nauseous with the spinning ones, and did the weird white shapes…but to be honest, I love the variability of the games, the ability to replay them and well just about everything. They are my favourite relaxing to game!
