Busy Times and Tidbits

Busy Times and Tidbits

I’m trying to push myself to get the 1st-Hour playable done in the next 2-3 weeks. And by done, I mean really, really done. That way, I can release it to my Beta testers and see what they think of Clutter III: Who is the Void?

It’s been a busy, busy week. Juggling two Artists and trying to keep them as busy as I can afford too, as well as my one day a week at World Touch, as well as thinking about/preparing for my trip/speech at the Casual Connect, as well as time spent integrating Art instead of coding leaves me feeling like the list on my plate keeps getting longer instead of shorter.

But, with that said, I have a new Treadmill in the game, I new Logo (will be posting that at some point), and I did manage to add some features to the Void way of playing Clutter that lets me set the level difficulty to whatever degree I want to (without changing the main feel of the game).

Other news, My cousin has graciously agreed to let me use some of her amazing photography for most of the Jigsaw puzzles in Clutter III. And today, I had a wonderful surprise in an email. Pay Pal notified me that someone had used the Donate button on Puzzles By Joe (and it’s the first time someone did that…more on that in another blog).

There is also an Indie-Showcase portion of the Casual Connect, and I’m trying to decide whether or not it will be worth it for me to spend the whole convention demoing Clutter. On one hand, it sounds like a good deal…but then I’ll miss most of the talks given by other speakers. I’m hoping that the Casual Connect committee will let me just commit to demoing Clutter on just one day. (I think I can manage that). Maybe next year, if Clutter III, Minigame Madness and Clutter IV all do well, I’ll be able to justify bringing someone with me to the Casual Connect…and then doing the Indie Showcase will make sense.

I’d like to Blog more…if anyone has any suggestions as to what they’d like me to blog about, then this is a great place to comment on that.
