About Joe

Joe is not Leon

Anyone who's played the original Clutter game knows a little bit about Joe. Joe is not Leon, but some of the details of Joe's life were worked into the story. Here are just some of the real facts of Joe's 65-Plus years of life.

Joe was born in a little town called Penacook N.H., a voting district of Concord N.H. but a separate town (population was about 3000 back then). Joe attended Immaculate Conception School until 6th grade and then attended Merrimack Valley High School. Joe decided to attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. Joe graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Joe only took one computer course at RPI.

Joe moved on to work at iWin creating the highly successful Mah Jong Quest I, II and III (and little game called Sproink). After leaving iWin at the end of 2009 to work on his own games he joined an Atlanta Slots/Gaming company beginning in 2011 and ending in 2013. Joe now devotes 100% of his time to Puzzles By Joe and The Clutter Series.

    Hello Joe,

I have to say I’ve been playing this game for years and I’ve loved it. I just had something strange happen though, so I wanted to see if I was going crazy.

I was playing Intermixed Classic when I thought I had played the same level before (like just 5 minutes ago). Do you have set levels? I thought they were all random.

If they are all random, then don’t worry, I’m just going nuts and having a massive deja-vu moment. The Matrix had to really reset!

Like I said, it was strange.

If you could let me know, I would appreciate it.

    Thank you,
    Alice

PS: You would have thought that I would have gotten a really good time on that level, but I was so freaked out (I remembered where all the pairs were) that I sucked! :O

      Hi Alice:

      It’s extremely rare…but possible.
The levels are randomized, but there is a “seed” that starts the level
based on “time” since launch of the game.
It’s possible to get that same “seed” and therefor, get the exact same puzzle.
Especially…if…it was the first puzzle on the same level, right after you started the game.
      (For instance….go into game….go to puzzle….play puzzle….(but don’t win)….leave game,
come back in…to that same puzzle….and “timing” is perfect so you get the same seed.)

It is rare, but it can happen (so no, not the Matrix resetting. 🙂 )

      Glad you enjoy my games.

      Joe

Joe, hi. My wife and I are addicted…we need to stop.
Having said that, we have the PC version.
Will the Mac version run on our iPads?
That way we can be twice as addicted.

    • joe says:

      William:
Unfortunately the Mac version does not run on iPads.
There is an iPad version of Clutter 1000, Clutter-IX & Clutter Evolution but
they are only available at http://www.AllAccessGames.com through a subscription plan.
However, in a couple of months Ki11er Clutter will be available for both
iOS & Android….so it will run on iPhone, iPad & other Mobile devices.
      Glad you’re enjoying the games.
      Joe

Dear Joe — Thank you for Clutter games. This old girl loves to play these nerve-wracking challenges. I’m very glad to be able to turn off the clock, and happy to be able to move items, particularly pretty ones which I just want to look at while I’m searching for matches. I was also delighted to find you selling directly as my 10-year relationship with Big Fish has become problematic due to issues that I guess are related to my Mac platform. Keep them coming!

Dear Joe, I have always enjoyed your Clutter game puzzles and felt like, at the end of each of them, that I couldn’t wait for the next one. But now, with this “Killer Clutter”, you have finished me!

I have found myself unable to finish and at some point try and enjoy some of the puzzles offered in KC. I blame it on old age (going on 60!) but I always felt that these kind of games were the key to staying sharp minded and alert mentally.

I feel like I am letting you down even though I do not even know you!

    Gosh, I am old!!!
